Our Doctrines
Doctrines
Our Statement of Faith and the doctrine we believe in are the following:
We believe in the inspiration and in-errancy of the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments. According to the 2Timothy 3:16-17 “All scripture is God breathed or (inspired) and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
We believe in Triune God. God is a trinity in unity, manifested in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; Isaiah 43:10-11
All people are created by God and in His image Genesis 1:26-27. But, all are sinners and they need savior. Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23
That regeneration (the new birth) by the Holy Spirit for the salvation of lost and sinful mankind, through personal faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, is absolutely essential. Ephesians 2:8
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit Acts 2:1-4. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer’s life in order to help, to teach, and to guide. John 14:16-17. In addition He convicts the world against sin.
We believe by baptizing believers in to water by immersing them. Matthew 28:19 “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 2:38 “And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ ”
That divine healing is provided for in the atonement and is available to all who truly believe. Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” James 5:14-15 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
The church is the body of Christ and He is also the Head of the body/ church/. All believers are the members of the body. Eph 4:15-16.
We believe in the Jesus’ return and there will be a final judgment Matthew 24:3ff and
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”
Revelation 20:1-7.
